Israel and Lebanon

Over 100,000 Lebanese civilians have died as a direct result of Israeli bombardment and assassinations. The Israeli Army has purposefully targeted civilian targets in an effort to force its occupation on the people of Lebanon. The Lebanese resistance continues its fight against the well equipped, well financed Israeli Army. Faced with a population refusing to accept Israeli occupation, Israel resorts to attacking civilian targets and inflicting as many civilian casualties as possible.

The Israeli government continues to support a terrorist group in Southern Lebanon calling itself the South Lebanese Army (SLA). Israel admits to training and providing equipment to this terrorist organization. The SLA is composed of foreign and other mercenaries engaged in a murderous campaign against the civilian population of Lebanon.

The undeclared goal of the Israeli government is to annex the southern part of Lebanon, just like it annexed the Syrian Golan Heights, and the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza. Only through active resistance against the occupying Israeli army can the Lebanese people liberate their territory from Israeli occupation.

Israeli Occupation and the expanding Security Zone

Any people on earth are always going to resist foreign occupation. Israel's answer to this phenomenon is more occupation with the pretense of defending what it had already occupied. And when there is any resistance to its occupation, it justifies further occupation and further expansion. The answer to this cycle of aggression is simple: there should not any occupation, so that there will be no resistance. Nevertheless, the Israeli government does not consider this to be an issue, believing in ever-expanding lands to house the ever-increasing Israeli population. Israeli Prime Minister Natanyaho had the audacity to claim the Israel needs "living space" in the West Bank and other areas in the Middle East, a statement identical to Adolf Hitler's "Lebens Raum," or living space policy, justifying the removal Polish people from their homes in Poland and moving Germans to those areas.

The Role of The United States

The United States government needs to join the rest of the world and apply pressure on Israel and limit the financial support to that state. Israel is a country with a history of human rights abuses and is engaged in a systematic campaign of terror against the Lebanese population. Current United States policy encourages the Israeli government in continuing its policy of expansion and terror. No country on earth has received more world condemnation then the State of Israel. Nevertheless, Israel continues to defy international law, ignore international public opinion and continues its policy of aggression in the Middle East.
